Haven’t Claimed Your Stimulus Check? Do So Before October 15, 2020!

According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP), over 12 million Americans have yet to claim their stimulus payment (also known as economic impact payment, or EIP).

The CBPP concludes that “[t]his group includes very low-income families with children, people who have been disconnected from work opportunities for a long period, and many low-income adults not raising children in their home.”

If you have not claimed your stimulus payment, you must provide your information to the IRS no later than October 15 through either a 2019 tax return or by filing a form on the IRS website.

The IRS Website’s “Non-Filers” Form can be accessed here.

To use the IRS Website form, you will have to create an online account, enter certain personal information, verify your email address, and submit the form.
