When “Sarita” was referred to our MLP team, she was living off a minimal amount of SNAP benefits and unable to pay her rent. Though she had several debilitating medical conditions, including extremely painful ortho arthritis in her knees, she had been denied multiple times for social security disability (SSDI). Our team was able to expedite her appeal hearing, helped her gather all the important medical documentation to accurately tell her story, and stood by her side every step of the way. Ultimately, Sarita’s appeal was successful, and in addition to the $1,783 in monthly payments she’ll be receiving going forward, she was also granted $54,819 in back benefits!
