You May Be Eligible For The 2021 Earned Income Tax Credit

The 2021 tax season is here, and the IRS started accepting income tax returns on January 24, 2022.  You may be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).  There are some changes this year including increases in maximum income eligibility and increases in the credit which is a refundable credit that may lead to a refund.  The credit is not counted as income for some federal income-based programs such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
