WESTERN NEW YORK WORK INCENTIVES & BENEFITS ADVISEMENT PROJECT

The next WNY Work Incentives Coalition meeting will be on Thursday, March 16, 2017 (8:30 a.m. registration; 9:00 a.m. program begins).  

Morning (9:00 start): “SSI’s Income and Resource Rules.”  We will focus on practical rules that consumers need to know, with some emphasis on rules that are most often misunderstood.

Afternoon (1:00 start): “SSI’s Range of Work Incentive Rules.”  Will focus on monthly payment calculation and all the important work incentives:  earned income exclusions, impairment-related work expenses, blind work expenses, student income exclusion, 1619(b) Medicaid, Section 301, the PASS, and many others.  See http://www.nymakesworkpay.org/docs/MIG_Newsletter_4.2/SSI_MIG_Newsletter_4.2.pdf (a 2012 newsletter discussing these issues).
